2nd hand shops, Cape Town.

There are no bargains. Just look what happens when supermarkets have a R1-off sale!

Woodstock. Dodge the hipsters and you should be okay. Probably come out looking like one though.

Hmm quite sure there's two in obs - one across the road from Cocoa Cha Chi (end of lwr main road) and another near the library in Station Road.

I drove into town, and **** me, there's just nowhere to park.

I have, however got a hipster haircut, so it's too late for me already (I just said to the hairdresser 'make me look like a Capetonian...').

I have been using MyCiti buses and they are very nice to get around town.

Try CPOA in Rugby, as they are personal friends of us and they often have good stuff. Not sure if Sandy and Annette are still working there though. There is shop 109 on Koeberg main road in Brooklyn/Ysterplaat where you can get something but they really don't have a lot of things when I bought from them. There is St. Lukes Hospice up in Maitland opposite or very near the police station. There is Cheshire Homes (Eric Miles) in, I think it's called Phoenix which is right there by Sable Square and not sure if Gary still runs the charity shop or if Bernie and Aunty Barbara are still running Bernies Bookshop but that place I got plenty items.

Check the local papers for bazaars and church sales and garage sales, you will find plenty or go to the fleamarket in Paarden Eiland over the weekend and see what you can get. I would say speak to so and so but I know too many people there.

I would hope all these places and people are still around as I have not been there for months.

Lol Wayne, everything is as you left it..went to visit friends in rugby last weekend and saw the same faces and places as per normal. Even old santos st still going strong. I used to love that CPOA shop, practically kitted out my daughters nursery for next to nothing from there and the lady next door made my wedding dress. :)
