Good news there Carol.

We made contact with Annette from CPOA and she said she and Sandy are still there which we were glad to hear. We spent most weekends with them and they have some good stuff too. Many a film maker in Cape Town would pop in for clothes and even people making adverts in the area and needed clothes, would come in there.

i've been looking for a good "second hand" shop since i had my bilateral carpal tunnel op in 2005. :D

Ahh must pop in the again ASAP, that's good to hear they are still there.
Some minor details, don't know if you know but will tell you anyway:
Centre point is still a flat landscape- nothing happening.
Pep stores at Shoprite had a armed robbery about 2 weeks back.
I couldnt believe my eyes to see that London Pub has opened a family restaurant (with table and chairs proper) above Lorna Doone- not sure if anyone goes there to eat haha :p
The Hut no longer accepts cards of any kind, you HAVE to pay cash..wtf? (And a 6 pack costs R100 haha) ..Gaby is stiiiilll there..couldn't believe that :)
You must see what they have done over the road from the library in Albow...I was gobsmacked...a city within a city...and apparently not finished yet. Looks stunning.
The garage, priclo, is undergoing a makeover...I was there to buy ice and had to park in the street.
Oh and last but I guess not least, low cost housing rising up on that empty lot that was up the road from The Hut, against the wall of the Air Force base kwim...just foundations laid so far but coming along rapidly.

That's all that I can think of for now but if I see anything of relevance, will let you know :)

Damn, we been away for what 8 or 9 months and all that has happened in an some cases not happened.
