Gonna be interesting to see what Telkom does when they finally launch 5G.

This deal at 5G speeds would be incredible.

where do u see the option to select 2TB month to month? it BS?

@Snyper564 Is over in the rain Forum trying to bring our speeds down by bringing more people. Lol. :p
Haha Stop :)

Look I had rain as well and cancelled it.

There is just something about Telkom mobile that just worked for me and worked for me for 6 years they just get better and better.

In our area they give every mobile operator a run for their money.

Loadshedding they are not impacted barring this speed issue the last time there was one was 6 years ago for me at least.

Yea I was also with Rain. There 5G was great. The speeds just degraded almost on a weekly basis.

This telkom package works well. I do believe though they throttle vpn's as I don't get very good speeds on my work vpn.

Other than that it's a breeze to stream on this package.

100% took streaming for granted till you look at the fibre peeps issues

My fibre 100% stable at 90+ speeds.

LTE sadly unreliable now ito speed stability.

This is where the xpol comes in if you haven't got one. I can tell you antenna vs no antenna for me is the difference in stability

Just confirm which router you have again.

Also have you tried hard wiring the pc or item that needs the speed the most? My desktop and smart TV are connected via Lan cable this in itself can give you a massive bump
Sorry for the late reply I was insanely busy the last couple of days. Right my router is the Huawei B618s-22d "second hand" Yes I am running a cable and the modem for my laptop but i had to buy a USB-C to cat5 because my laptop doesn't have it natively.

As you can see it is running good now because it is almost midnight... I normally remote in at these hours "naturally they don't pay us overtime" but yea. I worked very long hours but point is with the above speed I am a truly happy sloth.

My biggest concern however is month to month is not prepaid and prepaid is really harsh on the low-income spectrum ironically because we can't afford contracts. And I can say for a fact they do check your income for a month to month. I was at Telkom trying to get a month to month and nope... nothing I tried could convince them so I left.

Point is this our ISPs are really bad because they hit the low-income group like myself the hardest. It is essentially kicking sand in our eyes while earning billions. It is actually disgusting how badly lower income groups are being treated. It is really highly offensive but I digress.

Sloth... If you also have the 2tb deal, then just borrow a 618- 65D cause the 22 cannot do band 40. Where I live here, when I use 1800 or 2100mhz my speed is up to shiz max 40mbs there around. On 2300 i get almost tripple. And this deal on the website also states lte-a is on the 2300mhz band..

Thank you for reaching out, but please don't mind me I vent here more then I should. I am happy with my speed I really am. My router is good enough to get the work done and for the most part Telkom prepaid is more stable then Cell C. I am sure if you want to communicate using Cell C you will need a Ouija boards with a SIM slot... But I digress.

Have a good week and be safe...speed test today.jpg
