2TB Anytime data

@Ramiro1993

Correct me if wrong, 2TB - shows no aggregation showing 4G and 40GB data sim - it is 4G+.

Is this a hint perhaps?

What happens when you run a speedtest on 2 devices at the same time? Normally it would slow both down. Check that and report back. Hmmm

Dual-sim phone used? Which one?
Huawei P40 & Huawei b818 modem. Both pumping out 4+ LTE.

So I got the B618-65d from Ramiro. Did a speedtest with my 220gb sim in the B618-22d with AH, upgrading to the 2tb end of month with AH.

Then i fired up the 65d and can only avg around 40Mbps down. I tried switching bands to every possible option but nothing. Will test some more. I needed another LTE router anyway for another site.

I have no issues in my 65d still100mb plus all times of day

I'm pretty convinced that there's shaping / throttling going on (in my area?). I've mentioned speedtest a few times. Today, I decided to re-download a +50GB game after noticing some strange speeds with an update yesterday.

It will start at around 100mbps and run like that for 10 minutes. It then drops to 30mbps and sticks there. Fast.com will still run at 100mbps. If I reconnect and resume the steam download, exactly the same happens. 100ish mbps then back down to 30 after 10 minutes.

Good signal, tried both FDD and TDD CA all with the same results. TDD dropped to about 25 though. Despite the big download, I'm typically not a heavy user, and still have way more than 2TB allocated for the month.

Edit: If I VPN to France (no local VPN at the moment)... Definitely shaped.

Can anyone explain this to me?
My best guess is going to be based on what I've experienced. Telkom seems to be shaping traffic selectively, perhaps by tower/technology deployed.

If you check your bufferbloat (https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat) between the two connections, you'll see the slower speed one has less bufferbloat which creates a much better user experience on the internet.

According to Bufferbloat my connectivity sucks

My experiences with Telkom's LTE was also like @Snyper564.

Telkom did have a few times where speeds would go as low as 2Mbps for a few days before they fix something on their side again.

Switched to fibre because well, never had it and it's been great as well. Now I either get full speed or no speed if something is wrong.
