I'm not affiliated with this:
Just got an email about it. I'm strapped for cash, but R800 bucks seems well spent on this.
I'm sharing :)

Might be alright (these are usually unsustainable in the long run), but definitely wouldn't put anything private or unencrypted in that.

Seems it is encrypted though. You can encrypt it yourself and then upload too.
I agree it's not sustainable in the long run. Seems these guys have been around some time (according to my mail history),

Any LTD storage or hosted related deal is a gamble. Back in the day a backup, cloud storage service named Zoolz made the news, well not here, but people grabbed up the Home LTD plans. I believe it lasted around 9 years when it was called last year into discontinuation and gave their users 14 days to retrieve their stored data. This isn’t limited to Zoolz.

Always beware, LTD storage and hosting won’t last… Even Google had to cut back.

I believe the same is going to happen to those OpenAI tools which are all the news. An LTD is simply not sustainable.

Just my 2c. Your risk, your 'reward'.

I had a free Zoolz account. I know about it.
That was a long time ago though, things have progressed since then.
I wouldn't compare this with Google, OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
Those products have millions of users.
I doubt this Thunderdrive product has so many users.

It's much cheaper during their periodic promos every year. Can't quite recall the Black Friday promo, might have been $149 or $199 for the lifetime 2TB account.

What? They advertise it as once off.
Either way. Seems like a crappy service/scam.
They have both monthly and once-off pricing. The annual pricing isn't bad. I just don't trust pCloud anywhere near as much as Google Drive, OneDrive and iCloud.
