2xADSL Lines + WoW

My Current Set Up,

1xADSL 4MB
Unshaped PrePaid - WebAfrica

My average latency atm is anything from 450ms to 600ms...

I would just like to know is it possible to have a second ADSL line installed and somehow make them work together to give me a better WoW connection?

-- I do know that i would have to pay for the extra phone / adsl line as well from telkom.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated since i do not even know if this is possible and what hardware you would need.

A second line will not help you.

Wow does not need a massive amount of bandwidth (even when raiding).
a 512Kbs line will have the same latency as a 4Mbs line

450-600 is a bit high, I reckon u should get around 250-350. At least that's what I am pinging with unshaped 512

Lately, my unshaped WA account has been giving me latencies of anywhere between 280 - 500ms. Odd as I usually ping around 250 - 400ms.

Axxess Unshaped is waay better than WA from my experience. I get anything from 350ms to 450ms on a 384 line

I also have a 4MB ADSL line, with WA unshaped pre-paid, and get a constant ping of around 250ms, up to 300ms in the evening when everyone starts downloadin!

No other activity on the line

Just to add on that, the only difference will be in authentication times as each isp will have their own radius servers that SAIX hand the authentication off to

So my latency issue is not related to WA or Telkom just that my house must be far away from the exchange or something.

where about do you stay?

It could have something to do with that... Im really close to an upgraded Telkom exchange, so that always helps...
