Im a transmutation alchemist so I have mining with my alchemy, which means i have to buy my lotus`s. For some reason theyve shot from 40g each to 65gold on our server, so flasks have gone up from 25g to 42g. Its bizarre.

Thats like the worst professions to take together :)
 
Economics 101. If you know that your product is going to drop in value due to an external influence in X amount of days, you will likely flood the market with inflated prices in the hope to recoup losses preemptively. Yes it makes more sense to instead drop the prices slightly on everything and hope to sell it all before the prices crash, but what these guys will do is dump a ton of them on the market at inflated prices and then, using a different alt, dump a ton more at prices only slightly reduced from the artificially inflated stock to make it look like they're undercutting.

In the real world, that's called Pump and Dump, and is a form of fraud, which can result in you spending a lot of quality time with Bubba in the local state penitentiary.

Do you guys think the prices of titanium bars will drop or increase ? Reason being I buy up saronite and transmute to titanium. But since the titansteel will no longer have cooldown, I suspect the titansteel itself will drop, but people will be using more titanium because there is no more cooldown?

you can turn off the combat log showing stuff, doesnt mean it doesnt get sent. This is whats getting fixed and im super happy to see it. It has nothing to do with combat logs.

I must admit I think this is one of the "better" patches that Blizzard has implemented in a while. It has some very nice ideas and class changes. I am going to be interested to see how many problems and bugs arise from the PVP LFG system though.

Still don't think these buffs fix the actual problems DK's have. The biggest problem we have is spike damage from mutiple fast hitting sources. New WotN will help, but Frost tanks are still going to be stuck Unholy tanks are still garbage. And increasing Icy Touch threat is pointless, it's an ability we use once every, like, 15 seconds or something and our sustained threat is STILL going to be crap in ICC thanks to the -20% debuff cutting into Rune Strike procs. Another bandaid stuck over that severed limb.
 
I managed to buy about 20 Frozen Orbs last night for 11-12g each, but people in trade keep 'cock-blocking' me. :mad:

No, not really, I make a killing every day. I mine up mats for my titansteel bar and for my transmutations. I make more money selling diamonds than I do flasks, and theres nothing better than getting the transmutation bonus on an epic. You cant level alchemy with mining, but once its levelled, you can make more money out of alchemy from transmutations and mining.

They could fix the gem prices by reducing the alchemy cool down on epic gem transmutations.

10g for a stack of Borean Leather,
40g for Arctic fur,
20g for a stack of Saronite ore
100g for Titansteel
20g for a stack of cobalt ore

FML.
Seems JC's are the guys making coin with 220g per epic cut.

Perhaps a combo of Alchemy and JC. I have Alchemy and the epic gem transmutes sells for about 150G each, but only one a day :(. Combine your transmute with a cut and you can make 200G+ for it. Enchanting and JC combo also seems good. Bonus for enchanting your rings. The reason why I think JC and Enchanting makes money is that I reached 10K gold yesterday just before I got my new gear (T9 chest and legs), and after enchanting and gemming (as well as fixing the gems/enchants on my existing gear), I've dropped to just above 8K gold :cry:

Something that makes some money for me is fishing. I fish up mats for fish feasts and the more common foods and sell that on the AH. Takes less than 10 minutes to get a stack of salmon and it sells for about 50G. Bonus for the pygmy fish I catch which I use for guru's elixir, which comes to about 60G a stack on my server.
