Good Day,

I would like to know if anyone could help me with the user band settings for each Explora 2A. I have 3 connected currently with a 90cm Dish and the newer version of the smart lnb, I set them up as follows but are getting intermediate sound on the 3rd one (Picture seems fine),

1 St Explora 2 A
User Index: O Frq: 1210
User Index: 1 Frq: 1420
User Index: 2 Frq: 1680

2nd Explora 2 A
User Index: 3 Frq: 2040
User Index: 4 Frq: 1006
User Index: 5 Frq: 1057

3rd Explora 2 A (The one I`m having problems with)
User Index: 6 Frq: 1108
User Index: 7 Frq: 1159
User Index: 8 Frq: 1261

All help would be much appreciated, I`m unable to post to the Dstv Forum and was told by the call center that they would e-mail me the recommended setting but received none,

Also tweeted dstv care but they did not even know that the settings should be entered manual.

Kind Regards

Hey B@rrels,

Thanks for the reply. As far as I know the video link that you posted would be for the explora 1's since they can only use user band 0-7. But thank you for the reply. I will try to find out more info on subject and post as soon as I can or if someone else has info please share.

Kind regards

The Settings I used was correct , I had a problem with my HDMI cable to 3rd Tv. For future reference these settings can be used in situations with 3 , Explora 2A`s thats used with a 90cm dish with a smart lnb. No heartbeat cable required.

3 X Explora 2a setup. To have 9 viewing enviroments, 3 enviroments from each decoder

Hi everyone.
I was hoping to get some clarity on my DSTV installation.
I bought 3 X Explora 2a's, in order to view & record 3 separate enviroments, at the same time, but I want each of the 3 decoders to give me 3 viewing enviroments each, thus giving me 9 viewing enviroments in total I only know how to connect the three decoders from the smart LNB, but would like to find out how I can get HDMI to all 9 for good quality on 42" plus Tv's. All TV's must be connected.
I hope somebody can shed some light on this for me.
Many Thanks
Danny R

That sounds expensive. You will probably need 3x splitters with 9 (16 standard) outputs each. Each splitter is connected to one decoder, then 3 feeds are taken from the splitters to each tv. The tv's will need 3 available HDMI ports.

That is one bunch of longish HDMI cables and some expensive splitters. The other alternate is to have a switched matrix with 3 (4? ) inputs and 9 (16? ) outputs. That will really be expensive.
