According to TV with Thinus, at least one of them may be an exclusive, Pay to view type channel based on the Video on Demand (VoD) service. I'm guessing at least one of them will be an HD movie channel.

I can exclusively reveal that MultiChoice is working on adding at least another three – possible four – new TV channels to its DStv platform by the end of the year.

I already know exactly what one of these new channels will be, what it will be called and how it will work and can tell you exclusively first that this one will debut in October...

Multichoice will be launching their new service/s in October, the article said.

What is very interesting is the following, which I quote from Tinus's article:

"Interestingly enough October will also be the month in which MultiChoice rival, On Digital Media (ODM) and its TopTV platform is set to (as they promised at launch in May this year) add additional new TV channels without an increase in subscriber fees to its pay TV service".

We are in for some very interesting times.
 
I don't see a need to waste bandwith with a HD movie channel when they can just put a monthly selection of HD movies on-demand on the HD PVR HD
 
does anyone know when the new (baby) HD PVR will be getting dstv on demand?
 
Maybe if your good enough you will be getting Soweto Tv 2 for an extra R15 per month increase in the premium bill ;)

Oh please dont tempt me. Do you know how many nights I go to sleep and think of all the great shows on Soweto TV? How I've decided to destroy my social life just so I can spend more time watching Soweto TV. Did DStv finally hear my crys, oh how wonderful it would be for Soweto TV 2:p
 
3-4 channels = 1 HD channel.

Get rif of these useless channels nobody watches like religion channels and get us more HD content
 
I really think they should now have Premium and Premium plus ... premium plus for people who want HD, whats the use of HD for Premium users who can't view it ... they are paying for something they should not (BTW I'm not premium ... I gave up on flogging that dead horse a long time ago.)
 
If they would just give us something worthwhile, I might have a Happy Moment in my pants. But alas, I fear that is not to be... Am still seeing the same feacal matter on the same channels over two years later... Actually Mzansi (sp?) has stuff so bad on it that it might come up for awards at some stage...like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes bad....Can't believe these idiots are wasting space on broadcasting rubbish like that.
