I am waiting for telscum to install my line, in the mean time i need some help. I want to have two pc's connect via ethernet (PPPoE) and dialing (webafrica and openweb) (one isp per pc). Also have a third (laptop) connected via wireless also dialing the same webafrica account. I will buy either a netgear or linksys wireless adsl router. Is all this possible at the same time?

Also is it possible to dial to two different isps at the same time from one pc?
Thanks

Firstly it is possible, all you need to do is make sure your router has bridge enabled, then u can create a "broadband dialup connection" on each pc with the relevant ISP information etc. U cant however be connected to 2 ISP's on the same machine at the same time..

I am sure ant1b0dy knows how his application works?

On the subject of routers, look for reviews on the net, the top rated routers are SMC. Linksys has loads of issues and netgear is quite cool.

its possible only thing is your adsl speed will be then divided up in 3 different speed with the pc but it's still fast enough.

teraside just informed me bout a potential exploit in the dlink routers. i was all set and ready to buy it. Now i must decide again :(

If you get to know your router and read about and learn about the exploit, it won't do you harm, just make sure to change the user and admin password. However ask these guys to recommend you some decent router's, I'm only one voice btw. :)

and also some good online stores to buy from
i know of digitalplanet, take2, pcmall, newpc
is there any other cheap ones?

hmmm, i find out now that the d link g604t make a hissing sound, and since its gonna be in my bedroom, not a good idea. Also the netgear sounds good except it has heating problems. since i live in dbn thats not a good idea either. Looks like either draytek vogir 2700eg or an smc or billion 7202gr2.
