3 telkom adverts in MG

Yes, expensive looking too! I found the one on page nine particularly funny; it reads in part:

``Great News! While line rentals have increased it hasn't affected the price of *Closer* Budget Calling Plans which remain at the same prices!''

Which qualifies as one of the most half-assed ads I've seen in a while; calling attention to the fact that you've increased prices on your main product? What turkeys.
 
Saw that as well... Spending millions on advertising, not too much on customer support etc. Old trick I guess. Rather throw money at changing perceptions than to attack the problem directly. And obviously it works particularly well in a monopolistic environment.
 
Hope some more people will start to "advertise" in Beeld regarding their faulty adsl lines... ;)

maybe Beeld can give them "special" tariffs? :p hmmmmm....

TIAL, you found that cam yet?

While I'm posting, I wanted to ask you if you come across any adverts calling for public nominations for ICASA Councillors, please let me know. The DoC is apparently required to advertise this in two national papers, and the MG is a likely place they will put these announcements. TIAL I ask you specifically because you often catch the things in the hard copies of newspapers - I don't often get a hard copy paper. If you happen across such a thing that is :)
 
The less telkom ads I see the better - makes me ill :(
