30" Dell LCD goodness (day dreams) ....

Dell had the 24" LCD's on special recently - quite good prices.

I just ordered 4 of the 2007FPW's for some guys. I'm running the 2005FPW, and its an awesome LCD. I highly recommend it.

Btw, has dotcomputers got the dell stuff yet?

Not, its not worth us stocking them, you can buy them from dell at the same prices.

How does that Radeon run? I wanted to get one but i decided on a Gainward 7900GT instead, not as heavy on the wallet:) Any noticable Difference with the FX60 compared to a normal athlon X2. My X2 is working nicely.

The X1900XT is no slouch and handles the monitor very well. Call Of Duty 2 runs very quick and I did not see a hint of ghosting or such. I can see now why this monitor is so highly rated. I'm sitting here counting the hours till I can go home and play some more. Just to give you an idea of how big the 24" screen is, here's an actual screenshot. :p

I also have an X2 4800+ and to be honest the 200 Mhz extra on the FX60 makes very little difference overall in terms of frames rates over the 4800+.

Are the 24" Available in SA? Any idea of pricing?

Just looked on the Dell SA website... clicked on 20" and 24" LCD's, but the page comes up blank! :( Also, the 30" page relocates to another page, and not anything about the screen! :( :(

Yes the one I got was ex-stock, but it was manufactured last year.

I heard Dell sell it direct for R9000, but you could import it for about R7500 as you know.

It's not on their site. You have to phone and go through to the Accessories department.
