Hi

Purchased a 32" LG HD Ready LCD from Game last Sunday on promotion, and they said they didn't have stock then, but would have it by Thursday (today). Now just got a call from them, they don't have it in stock & are experiencing supplier problems but they have a 32" Samsung on special at the same price, so I can either wait for them to get stock of the LG or get the Samsung instead.

I'm thinking of taking the Samsung, anyone have any opinions on LG vs Samsung? Should I take it or should I wait for the LG?

I looked at both and bought the Samsung - IMHO it has a clearer picture and much better contrast. Well worth a little extra cost.

I think HiFi Corp have the Samsung for R5,499 incl a R500 gift voucher.

Depends on the range and model...

LG -> LG 3210
Samsung -> No model number given on Game advert, will need to go in-store to check.

Was actually quite p****d when I saw the advert for the Samsung, cause I figured if I'd waited a week I could have had that instead. Now that the opportunity presents itself, very unsure

Well, I've got a Sammy from the Bordeaux range (blue light beneath the screen) and I'm very happy with it. Distinctive designs to look out for:
- Round power button below screen
- No power button below screen, but blue light
- No power button below screen, but red/amber light

Will probably get the Samsung, it's other major advantage is that it's available right now :)

Just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't kick myself later.

The Sammy is a nice screen..

I also had one from the Bourdeaux range until it got alternatively shopped.....

I also just bought one recently and noticed that some stores have different feeds in the screens. Like some LCDs had HD feeds while the others had no HDMI cables. Then i saw 2 Plasmas, one had DSTV SD and the other had its own Blue Ray player connected, now obviously the BR would give a better pic.

Yeah, don't judge the lcds by how they look in the shop. 99% of the time they aren't setup correctly, that's if they have HD content playing at all...

The samsungs probably the 32A330, series 3 (the digit after the A refers to which series.)
Normal pricing of that model is around R5999, sometimes R5799. Hi-Fi corp price quoted above but someone had it for R4999. Not sure who.

My experience, I'll take LG before Samsung and Sony above em all
