32bit or 64bit

Yeah but 64 bit lacks driver support and some applications struggle to run under it. And this is still the case even with vista 64 bit.

I would have thought Vista 32 Bit will also still have problems with applications.
Thats what many people report. It seems theres a heap of people who have endless problems with Vista (32 and 64) and the remaining bunch have it running like butter. Best option, wait a while for drivers to fully mature and everything should run fine.

In nix you run:
root@infant-finite:~# uname -a
Linux infant-finite 2.6.20-15-lowlatency #2 SMP PREEMPT Sun Apr 15 06:20:10 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Linux Ubuntu AMD64.

Applications used most often, compiled for my specific CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ (Family: 15, Model: 31, Stepping: 0)
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE SSE2

32bit and 64bit applications run perfectly, even 16bit DOS programs, up to 32bit, 64bit programs which run on XP.

32 bit has a lot less problems than 64 bit. Most applications by now run on vista 32 bit atleast those released by well known developers. Those who had early problems by now have patches out which fixes the problem or in nero's case has a new vista compatible version out for purchase.
