32k vs 64k SIM FOR DATA BUNDLE

Hi

Can I use a 32k SIM card (99c from Pep Stores) in my 3G modem and buy a pre-paid data bundle (say 500MB) to use on it? Will a 64k SIM have better performance?

You can use the 32k SIM. The 64k SIM will give you extra storage for SMS and contact details not speed.

And apparently the 64k sim is more stable with 3G connections, from what I have heard.

As far as I know, 32K and 64K makes no real difference in performance when it comes to connection speeds etc. I have a 64K sim in my modem though. I dont really deal with prepaid sims, but I thought all sims being issued now is 64K?

I used a pre-paid 32k SIM for more than a year and had no issues. 64k SIM = speed increase is a myth.

That would be correct, its just for storage.
It makes no difference in terms of speed.
I used a 32k sim from checkers witha 500GB pre paid bundle for a while until my dsl was installed and it worked perfectly.

I meant 500mb!
