350z vs honda s2000 vs

Hi guys, another which car should I get thread, was going for the 200sx but thought, what the hell might as well go all out and get something nice. So far in my "I want a fun car list: (350z, honda s2000) both costing in the region of R140 000 - R200 000. I am personally aiming between 100 000 - 150 000. Any suggestions to add to the list. Criteria: Fun to drive, Nice to look at.
 
If you're a bigger chap as much as I love the S2000, if you're using it as an everyday car you gonna hate life.
 
Well prob would use as an everyday drive, but I am a relatively small chap :P, after reading a lot of reviews I gotta admit it seems honda keeps coming out on top.
 
I would say s2000 aswell, but get the AP2 version, I think they came out after 2004, they changed a few things, and I think from 2006 models they changed interior a bit and added stability control.

I'm 1.87m - 110kg and drive comfortably... without shoes :) Out of all the small cars I drove it was the most comfortable - and I drove from Jhb to Cape Town in it.

The passenger side is terrible though - very uncomfortable for a big person.

Thats open to debate... we didn't really get the AP2 (2.2L) here, just a few of the changes.

Interior has remained much the same except for the centre console, and speedo, etc changes.

I prefer the pre 2006 as thats when they went to drive by wire... and I also don't want stability control, etc :p

S2000 is a stunning car to drive... I have a love hate relationship with mine, its 11 years old now and things have started giving problems, this year was the alternator and clutch master cylinder, and a sensor I'm still trying to figure out. Last year was the clutch..... etc,. etc... fortunately I have two cars, so can afford to have it standing, I only got it up and running a few weeks ago, but it was basically standing from Feb.

If you do go with a S2000, rather import the parts yourself from various international sources, the local guys are up to 6x more expensive.
 
Ono - its still kinda on the cards, but 2 problems with 300zx

1. I know little about repairing cars and most of them here are 1992 -1994
2. They are in the same price range as the 2 above (well maybe a little less but one in great condition is 120k)

Also am gonna have to finance a little and 300zx will be like 18% interest due to age
 
S2000 without a doubt, have had mine for 6 years now and still smile everytime I hit VTec. Its the sort of car that becomes a passion and despite its age of design it still looks awesome.

thank you very much now have to try get that horrible image out of my mind:sick:
S2000 is timeless and once you have driven one there is no going back.
