384k adsl bump?

Actually the slowest was 192k. And you guys got upgraded for free to 384k.

...and a new more expensive class for 'faster' was created, essentially degrading those already on 384kbps. would be funny if that were to happen again :twisted:

From 4 meg to 10 meg. From a Lotus to a Ferrari. Bit of a difference there. But I guess I can only afford the molasses.

I wouldn't mind paying more... but I am not prepared to pay what they want for 512.
If Telkom introduced a 1Mbit or 2Mbit for somewhere between 384 and 4/10Mbit, then I would go for it.
For some reason, the pricing for 512 is completely out-of-whack

That's because the law changed: 192k no longer qualifies as 'Broadband" We need another such update.

Totally out of whack. If they'd increased the 512 to 1meg (same price), I'd have moved to that from 384. Thousands would have done the same= more money for Telkom, with a lesser impact on their exchanges/backhaul.
