Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
Lets please not debate the issue around legality, I am just asking if the content is available?
Yes I download my movies :)
I use certain sites but cannot seem to find any

Thanks
I apologise if I am breaking the rules if so please lock thread

3D content is scarce in any event, thats why the LG 2D to 3D conversion is so great. All your content is 3D instantly without spending a cent simply by clicking a button on your remote control. Normal DVDs or Blue Ray gives the best 2D to 3D conversion results if played thru your HDMI port.

To view a 3D movie specifically so recorded, you need a 3D blu-ray player as well or content that is recorded in 3D. These should become more available in time. Look for Avatar in 3D.

Yes - that Great isn't it - all of it - everything - the whole lot - watch Al Jazeera in 3D.....

Thats why all the reviews are saying that this LG technology is a Nuclear Bomb that LG dropped on the industry and content providers - Hollywood is going to lose a lot of sales in the coming years as people will not pay a fortune anymore for 3D.

You are freaking kidding me. So I play my 2D HD movie and it can change it to 3D ?
I am shocked

Thats what I've been trying to say all along - there is no argument as to the extent of enjoyment I am geeting out of my new TV. Your choice, I ask everyone coming to visit - do you wanna watch Cricket in 3D on SABC? - I only get looks of astonishment. Do you wanna watch the latest fights in Syria in 3D on BBC or Al Jazeera - you got it. Do you wanna watch 1965 Batman series in 3D - you got it. Every ****ing thing is 3D, if you want, by simply pressing a button. The most wonderful thing of all is the glasses are the same u use in the movies - thats why its called Cinema 3D. And it is certified FULL 1080p resolution depending on what the TV is receiving.

Well even if it is just a gimmick thats just sold me.
Done - For 7999 its a deal, hell I would have paid the 8999

Just check it out for yourself first, the 2D to 3D conversion has not impressed me at all.

its not true 3d, but it is pretty good.

However I do have some 3d content I have been collecting over the past few months. About 8 odd movies and a series.

They do pop up on the news servers from time to time.

They are large tho - 30 odd gigs each.

Well to be honest the 2D to 3D is not as great as a 3D DVD purposely made but let me tell you from what I have seen it is a nice bonus to have.

As for 3D content I think we should use this thread to add all 3D content links we can get.

BTW marine1 congrats did you buy it, if so I hope you enjoy the new TV. Please give some feedback about your experience.

What internet connection you have?

It works well if you're in the right position with the TV at the right height, otherwise it does not. Having to wear glasses all the time would bug me too.

Saw TinTin in 3D a few weeks ago - my first 3D experience - and I must say... the headache lasted 2 days.

Still think it's a gimmick of massive proportions. :(

Probably right but for the price (extra 1200 bucks) plus the extra 2 inches (size does count :D) is it really worth not getting it?

Wasn't really intended as a judgement on the telly, just on the current 3D-friggen'-everything fad in general...

I'm quite sure the LG would serve you well, although I must say a mate of mine recently acquired a series 5 (I think) 40" LED-backlit 3D-capable Samsung and it is equally stunning. Can't produce faux-3D, sure, but the picture is pretty damn impressive.

But at the price nothing comes close to the LG even though I am a Samsung fan
