Hi

i have a 3d tv, and i would like to play black ops 2 and battlefield 3 in 3d. How on earth do i enable it? I did enable stereoscopic option in nvidia control panel...and as i heard the shortcut to enable and disable is ctrl+t but nothing happen.

Would really like someone to help me out please.

If the game is not native 3D TV/Screen compatible the next option for you is 2d->3d conversion on your TV. Look for the option on your television and turn it on.

its black ops 2 and battlefield 3..they sepose to be....

mailed myself it...thats seems only the guide for nvidia glasses....can a normal 3d tv and samsung glasses work?

Is it an active or passive 3D TV?
My LG is Passive, So I connect it as my primary display and I use TriDef 3D for converting to 3D play. TriDef was free with my LG monitor...

Edit: Passive is like the glasses you wear at a cinema (no batteries). Active are the glasses that synchronize to the tv (they have batteries)

I have the Sammy D7000, however I have an ATi/AMD card.
BF3 does have built in Stereoscopic which was fairly straightforward to enable for me (under the video options if I recall). Check it out though as where I had some issues trying to get Crysis to work (as it's a nVidia branded game - had to edit some ini files thanks to them) you may be experiencing the same due to BF3 being ATi.

I run a seperate piece of software which I would highly recommend to you. Tridef.
nVidia does have their 3DTV Play, but Tridef works regardless of brand and I can say it works excellently.

Due to what most agree is a software/firmware limitation, 3D games will run at 30hz instead of the 60+ they would normally run, unless you have specific monitors. I mention this as it makes playing FPS' a tad more difficult due to the aiming 'lag'. I played BLOPS 1 singleplayer and after some adjusting, managed ok.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

TBH ... when I played Black Ops 1 or MW3 in 3D, it was a lot more difficult. I dont play in 3D any more. Objects which would normally crop out of view in game in 2D mode, become visible obstacles in 3D. So in essence I felt it made it more difficult to spot enemies and when I thought I was out of view, for a standard 2D player, I was clearly visible....

EDIT: Make no mistake, it still looks pretty awesome!

As PhreeMe and I have suggested, TriDef 3D is the easiest way to go. The application allows you to create an executable shortcut with the profile settings per game (tons of games profiles listed). All you have to do is make sure that your 3D TV is set as the primary monitor.

Sorry bud, I seemed to have read over where you mentioned it....
Agree with you wholeheartedly on the FPS front! It looks great, but it is a lot more challenging!!

I've found MMO's, RPG's and RTS games to be best suited to 3D play. Skyrim is beautiful, STO is amazing, the CnC's and SC2 are also excellent. The Mass Effects are great in 3D and playable due to the 'slower' nature of the game.
