This might be a weired or just plain stupid thing to ask, but can one get software loaded onto a pc, in order to watch 3D movies. At a guess, i know you wont get true cinema 3D type stuff, but just a question. I saw the Nvidia 3D glasses, so im assuming its possible through some sort of way?
 
You need a special kind of screen and driver that projects/displays 2 images at once on the screen. Maybe some of the newer Nvidia cards will do this. They are extremely innovative

Saw an amazing TV last week, a Toshiba 50 inch, 3D without glasses. Importer would not tell me the price, except that it was "substantial"

A 3D monitor, yes.

I'm not sure how much things have changed but I don't think there's a software only solution.

Best option would be a Nvidia video card with Nvidia 3D glasses and 3D monitor then u will be able to watch 3D movies and Play games in 3D.
