Damn, i would just like to see a video of how 3dmark05, when it tests, how it looks running smoothly, cause ive only seen it stutter along.

i recall running the 3DMark05 when it came out on my old FX5900XT card... averaging 3-4 frames at max. lol... now i get averages of 25-30 fps which makes it run smoothly.

but its just a show off gimmick really, true benchmarks are run from the games we play.

Remember 3D Mark is roughly a guide for next-gen games. Your present day games are from 3D Mark '03.

But those 512MB GTX cards are monsters. They totally take the socks off a X1800XT.

it seems the 512MB of RAM makes a difference on higher resolutions aka 1600x1200 but does influence the gameplay with high res textures, AKAIK CoD2 makes good use of the extra RAM on that GFX card.
