3G and HSDPA router

I have a vodacom hsdpa usb stick that I use at home, I get hsdpa in a certain part of the house (my garage).

I get a sad signal on my couch which is 20m away!
What can I do - should I get a router that supports 3G and hsdpa in my garage and then connect via wireless?

What other options do I have?

I really do not want to spend 1000's of rands on this!

yeah you can connect via wireless , that router is pretty good priced and will work fine .

Is there anyway of taking the sim out of the dongle and putting it in a cell phone and then connecting to the cell phone for internet access?
Far fetched I know - it's been a long day.
