3G area not covered by 3G anymore

I've been using cell c for the last couple of months with great speeds when connected to the 3G network, however the last week I could only connect using edge. And as we all know edge on cell c network is not worth speaking about.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Here in PE the speed on EDGE is about 220kbps down and 110 up. And is fairly constant. For cell phone browsing is ok. Not that much slower then hellkom's cheapest ADSL offer + the added mobility and cheaper. Of course, is worse then k@k, if you are going to use it as your main/static connection. It looks like CellC takes one step backwards for every one and a half forward Nevertheless, that's better then all the competition counted together - forward and backwards!

I am also in Kempton Park, and last night the internet connection was non-existent. Couldn't even connect via EDGE. I hope it is due to routine maintenance.

I am also having problems in my area - persisting non-stop.... On the "3G Subject" I am amazed I am currently near a "LOCATION" where 5months ago their was practically no 3G CELL C service, today I am pretty amazed I am able to browse using 3G CELL C without any EDGE connectivity

crab - same issue here. For 4 months I had 4mb and 50 pings ... Then it went down totally for a few weeks ... And now only EDGE - which seems to be around 30-50kpbs and unusable.

Have you tried MDMA to force it to 3G?

I'm getting about 10-15kbps

You are definitely connected on 3G/HSPA+, you wouldn't get that upload speed on EDGE or GPRS.
