3g Card Vs 3g Handset

I have a samsung D500.
To connect to the internet I usually just use the Opera mini web browser on the phone.
I also use the phone as a modem for my PC but its very slow in my area(GORDANS BAY-CAPE TOWN).My question is,should I upgrade to a 3G handset(as a modem) to get faster speeds or should I get a 3G card and adaptor for my PC.If I use a 3G handset will I get the same connection speed as with the card.Also could some one explain the difference between 32k vs 64k ,128k sim cards.
Will the bigger ones improve my connection speeds or just give more storage space.

Get an E220 USB Modem and then you won't need an adaptor. The sim card size doesn't matter as long as it works. The E220 can run at up to 1.8mbps, 3.6 soon, whereas the 3G phone will be limited to 384k

Well what I would do is check the coverage map and see if there is 3G coverage there if there isn’t then you might as well stick with what you’ve got.

I would suggest if you do go for a data card then I would suggest you go for the E220 as you’ll be saving money on the PC adapter.

If you have a 8K, 16K or 32K SIM they won’t make any difference at all but yes it has got added storage space

Our Data cards are not network locked

VM is 50 cents per meg for Edge with MTN you can pay as little as R0,49 for our 1GIG bundle. As mentioned a sim has no difference with speeds it's just the storage space that's different

Rather go with MTN, you can get a 350MB bundle for R220 that comes to 63c/GB or the 1GB as MTNDD said is 49c/MB. VM is pretty dodgy and often gives problems, MTN is faster and more stable and reliable, MTNDD just isn't allowed to say that.

Ive also read about 3G cards with antenea.Could this pick up 3G in an area that does not have coverage.

Sometimes there's a problem getting a sim card to work in a data card and then they have to get a different one for you, particularly with Virgin. If it works though then it works.

We don't have any E220 Linus drivers but I will speak to Huawei and advise ASAP
