Hey guys, just wondering if it is at all possible for me to use a Novatel 3G card with my home desktop pc? If possible what do i need to set it up?
Thanks:)

I got a PC adapter for the 3G cards from Vodashop at Vodaworld in Midrand (price = R 220). It slots into a PCI slot on the MB. Works great with both the Vodacom and MTN data cards.

Cool

Thanks Trafeye ;)

I also bought my Elan PCI adaptor card from Vodaworld in March or April last year. Haven't had a single problem with it in my PC at home. During the day I can use the 3G card in my laptop at work, and then at night slip it into my desktop at home.

Good to hear that the Elan PCI adaptor's aren't giving any problems

MTNDD

Same PCI adapter at the Smartcom store for R149

The Elan card must just be installed exactly as instructed to avoid problems. There is a specific order. If I remember correctly the software must first be installed and thereafter the card. Some people ignore the instructions and then end up with problems.
