3g Connected but cant browse

Hi guys,

I have just connected a friends 3g card to my desktop, installed the software, and clicked connect. It then connects but I am unable to browse. does anyone have an idea why this would be?

once connected I go to network connections and I can see a ZTE wireless ethernet adaptor which is connected, but the 3g dialup connection says disconnected. once connected I can ipconfig /all to get the IP adress for the ZTE. any ideas?

have you checked the browser settings (LAN settings) or maybe even your antivirus?

Check for proxy settings in network connections.also you said its not a local network device.so just try and connection directly from the networks connections in control panel or just create a manual dial up connection dialing to *99# no user name no pass and connect.maybe the software is using the incorrect apn settings.I hope this will help?
