Sometimes anti-social, always anti-fascist.
I have been buying ad-hoc data bundles, 500meg at a time for a few months... now I see there is no longer a 500meg denomination but there is a MyMeg600 for R189 (What I have been paying for 500meg) and a MyGig 1.2 for R100 more than that.

How long have these been around? have I been shafting myself for the last few months and why did an agent not mention these other bundles to me when they see me adding like my 3rd 500meg bundle in a month?

Anyone who is less of a dolt than I obviously am have some info/suggestions?

Also: anyone know the deal with the Promo Data My Gig 1.2 Mth-to-Mth? I saw the thread on the promo deals but anyone know how much 'free' data you get with that one?

Vodacom has increased the data allocation for the data bundles below 3Gig for the same price. This has been effective since the 1st of May 2010. The article was published on this website.

Its all fair and well that data is getting cheaper... but where can i buy data online for a vodacom wi-fi router SIM?
...please dont tell me to remove my SIM.
pls help

Prepaid : You can add directly from your banking institution or www.vodacom.co.za , Contract :you can add from www.vodacom.co.za or via the call centre.

Dear VodacomData
Your suggested path lead to frustration. Only credit card option that didnt work. Sorry, but that is true.
I have been using vodacom4me: Buy airtime at the bank and converting to data.
Is there an easier way?

With Standardbank i have to get a OTP with every transaction...not hot
and they dont have DATA? only airtime?

am i the only one asking for comfort?

I feel your pain...been there...
Not even all the banks sell data bundles! ABSA, Nedbank and even Standard bank only sell airtime...no data...
FNB is the coolest of all the banks...selling data bundles (no conversions needed!), SMS bundles and airtime!!! Well done to them!
The only thing that finished me off about FNB was having to wait for those 8 digits long OTP numbers to be SMS to me and typing them in EVERY time I wanted to recharge...they also promise on their site that you might get your data immediately or you might wait 24 hours...eisch...not even to mention their R16,50 cash deposit fee on a R200 cash deposit...but that is a different story...
Another place that sells data directly to your SIM is NIVO - but that is with credit card.
I see you have internet banking...check out vtime...you will find a match made in heaven...you don't have to remove your SIM, old Mielies and they promise to deliver immediately or within 10 minutes! :) Try them and let me know what you think...
