This may seem like a silly question but I'm exploring all possibilities. Is there any way to get a fixed IP on a 3G account? This is my issue: I've got a server running on a cisco router, which is on a telkom dsl conn, unfortunately due 2 regular connection problems on the dsl line, I now I need a secondary wireless connection 2 run as backup but it's got 2 have a fixed IP. I understand Iburst's got an option but @ R200 p/m extra charge =/ any ideas?

Not at the moment.

Can you not use dynamic DNS? This will give you a fixed URL although the underlying IP might change. I'm sure your Cisco router will support this.
