3G/HSDPA Data Price drop ?

Hiya Folks.

Most of the Providers charge around R2 per meg for unbundled data.

and then sell bundled data for around 500mb for R189, 1gig for R289 etc.etc.etc

MTN and Vodacom use to charge people around R45 per megabyte a year or two ago.

The bundled data packages are alot cheaper than Unbundled starting at around 38cents per meg (R189/500mb)

Isn't R2 per meg for unbundled data a bit harsh ???

For comparison purposes the unbundled rate is R1/MB in Namibia.

HSDPA can be substantially cheaper than ADSL in some countries such as Finland.
Some time limited offers provide uncapped HSDPA for around 10 Euros per month on a one year contract.
