Is 3G currently down in the Cape Town area? I have not been able to connect to 3G the whole morning. Currently using GPRS.

I am in the Mowbray area.

Hi - I've been connected for hours with no problems except that I haven't been able to send email for a while (I'm in Plumstead).
Slak

I'm out in Simons Town, and haven't been able to send any emails...The Vodacom SMTP server must be down AGAIN. Can anyone confirm?

Can't send email in Simon's Town either, connected to Strandfontein 3 I think.

Yip , Can't send email either in the Cpt area. Can connect via 3G fine.
Problem I think started at 11:35am (according to some email log files)
...off to 082155 ...
End of the month blues :p

Working again. Did not experience any problems with SNMP.

I am connected in Plumstead but also can't send mail .. aarrgghhh .. time to fire up the dial-up again .. this really freaks me out .. 1: that I am paying for service that I'm not getting and .. 2: that I have to keep paying for a monthly dial-up as well to cater for these times .. makes you think about the true cost of 3G.

Hi, name is Ploempie and I haven't been able to send mail all day. My 3g is working fine. I also like lettuce.

Why not use one of the free mail services (eg GMail) as a backup for these times when the SMTP servers croak?

I am on 3G at the moment, and working fine.
