3G International Traffic routing

Hi guys,

Would anyone know how 3G traffic is routed for International traffic?
I am assuming it's done over fibre????

The reason I ask - we have a standard DSL connection via Telkom/Voxdatapro. There also some guys who use MTN 3G on the laptops as they tend be mobile in/out of the office.

We need international connectivity as a minimum - and often we find that 3G seems to be better vs DSL for us. I was wondering if this is due different ISP or is the whether international traffic is routed differently.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

MTN has fibre.

Its probably due to the contention ratios used and the line speeds/HS speeds

Yes we have fibre, only in some parts though.

Thanks it does look like it is fibre.
I know our current contention ratios on ADSL is usually 20:1, so I do wonder if it different for MTN.
I suppose it also depends which backbone my office ADSL ISP is using and what MTN is using. i.e SAIX or IS.
My understanding is the SAIX is usually better for international traffic due to lower latency????
