isnt it compulsory to subscribe to an AT&T plan if you buy directly from apple? i have no idea how the guy who got my previous ones actually got hold of them... im assuming he got them from a 3rd party.

I can buy from the Apple store now since I have a US virtual credit card with a US billing address but it might not clear, transferring cash to my card is also not that easy.

which, if apple keeps their prices constant, which they usually do, it will be so.

i am not sure if the net one in the US will still be network locked, but i've heard different.

It's the same price as the Apple store but they don't ship Apple products internationally. (Apple policy I think)

Try to place an order, you'll get a message saying they don't ship Apple Products internationally.

Any official Apple online retail partner won't ship outside the US because Apple does not allow this, third parties that charge extra will be able to.

lol.. Good luck doing that. I heard/read somewhere that they will only give out 3G iPhones in the states to customers with Credit Cards and a maxium purchase per credit card of 2 iPhones. I'll try find the article and post it here...
