3G question

Hi,

I need some 2cents: i've got a laptop + usb bluetooth adapter + nokia 6280 (that can do 3G).

can this setup within a 3G covered zone , give me 3G speed when connecting to the net? - i'm only getting GPRS speed atm ,but the 3G icon in the left top corner of the phone is showing its in a 3G zone where i am now.

any inputs welcomed.

To get an accurate reading use http://speed.vodacom.co.za.

I wonder if you're not on the VLive apn and going through the proxy servers. (typically the default apn on handsets)

Maybe check if you can switch to the internet apn and test again.

Also try using the USB cable, faster connection from what Ive heard, I use it and get very good speeds.
