3G switch.router for +- 30 users in a small office

We are in the process of putting together additional fail-over support for our Internet lines.

Breaking out is essential to our core business, so only having plan B is no longer enough. We need plan C

1 floor, about 30 people. There is a switch where I can plug in a 3G switch/router via cable. I was thinking of doing that, and in the event of Plan A and Plan B failing, one would simply change the default gateway for all PC's, directing them through the 3G dongle that will be plugged into this router.

Make sense? Should work hey? My concern is that the router might not be able to manage the traffic from everyone at the same time... it might explode!

What router (that I can plug-in a 3G dongle) would support that kind of access?

Get a Draytek Vigor Dual WAN 3g Router,connect up 1 ADSL,1 3g and 1 extra ADSL/iburst/Wimax connection. 1 Gateway many redundancies

you can also use a PC / Linux / OSx with their respective forms of Internet Connection Sharing... and set the C failover gateway to that PC's IP...

For an office I would recommend that you rather spend a bit more and get an enterprise class device like the one PsyWulf suggested.

Pada, what kind of price are we looking at for that kind of device?

I suppose you're looking in the region of R2000 for the Draytek devices. I haven't used a Draytek router myself, but so far I've heard pretty good things about it and its user interface seemed very simple/straightforward.

At my office we prefer to use MikroTik routers (eg. RB1200), which cost less, but it takes quite some effort to configure/script failover stuff!

The Vigor 2820 is about R2300,has a Wan,ADSL and 3g port though only 2 can be used for automatic failover,the Vigor 2830 has full Triple WAN connectivity,you can contact their agents ( listed in this article on MyBB ) if you need the full 3way failover
