Hi, i have a 3G card with a pci pcmia pseries adaptor in my desktop (XP pro sp2 on a seimens fujitsu). 3G has been working fine. Yesterday i upgraded to HSDPA on my notebook and desktop. The notebook works fine. My vodafone connect complains that the sim card or card is not seated properly. This was replugged and i then re-installed the s/w two times going back to a previous restore. and re-installed with drivers as documented in instructions. I spoke to vodacom data and disabled the pin code.I can see that when the system boots up, i get a quick flash of the pin entry panel with the vodacom connect tune. The red vodafone panel comes up but with no network connected.

I also have an iburst card, and this works fine on the system as i do the searches on this web page. Any ideas for me. I am still waiting for the vodacom guys to phone me, very poor service which i am going to escalate tomorrow.

Which 3G card did you have? A Novatel U630?

Also, did you upgrade the dash?

Try this:

For a reason yet unknown, old files which are needed by the U630 are sometimes stored in the %systemroot%\system32 folder. The correct path is %systemroot% (which is C:\WINDOWS on many systems). The following three files are duplicate:

NwtGatewayDLL.dll
NwtGatewayConfig.ini
Loader.dll

The version number of these old novatel files is 1.0.3.2.

Simply delete these three files in WINDOWS\system32.
