This not a issue, but for a short while over the weekend my dashboard software said "HSDPA Network Detected" instead of the normal "3G Network Detected".

I wonder if a update wen't in somewhere and got pulled again. It happend more or less exactly after the problems Vodacom were having last week.

Which version of the Software are you using?

If you installed it via the CD's you got from it, then its 9.x.

SO now it says HSDPA network detected? It usually just says 3G or GPRS and goes to HSDPA after you connect. Maybe Vodacom has unleashed 3.6...

version 10 I think, this was on my home machine so I can't check to make sure now.
I think you're probably using VMC-Lite version 1, which is old to say the least.

Also, see the following thread which might be what you saw:

I doubt its VMCLite, becoz VMCLite doesnt pop-up with "3G Network Detected. Connect Now?"

Oh by the way, version 3 is the **** ;) Been using it for a couple of weeks now, and its well... Great. No Problems with it (execpting that one little insignificant problem...)

Nope, definitely not Lite, Lite doesn't pick up my device.

The reason for the post is the fact that I was curious about the fact it said "HSDPA Network detected" for a little while and was wondering whats up.

To be precise I'm using v. 9.1.0.4345
