3G vs LTE

Does anyone know how much faster LTE is than 3g? And if it is a lot faster will my ipad be able to handle that extra speed?
 
3G is up to 384Kbps. 3.5G is like up to 21.1Mbps. LTE is up to 100Mbps. AFAIK, only the iPad mini is equipped with LTE.

iPad 4 supports LTE, but only once it is activated on our networks for Apple devices ... whenever that will be
