Hello & Good morning all,
Just a quick question, I have read the FAQ and scanned the forum, and cant find anything.. (yet)
I have a sony ericsson K810i cellphone which is 3G capable.
I also have the vodacom prepaid 3G data bundle - (Specifically for internet)
Can I use the phone as a 3G modem... (Currently, when I install the Vodacom software, the dashboard shows available network as Vodacom 3G, with no signal, when I click connect, it connects and then changes to Vodacom GPRS)
I have tried all the settings, as the phone also has an option where you can select USB internet, that if you connect it to a PC, the PC picks up the connection as Local Area Network... it gets connected, but yet the speed seems slow. (GPRS maybe)
My Dashboard has confirmed that I have used 45Mb of 3G & 400kb or GPRS
I know its faster than this as I have seen it.
Does anyone know the magic setup (or ritual dance) to get it connected/setup or can it be done 'off the bat' so its 3G & not GPRS?
My signal in my area is the strongest (I have the highest coverage rate)
