4 Hour Power Cuts

how "odd" is this. We have an office in olifantsfontein which has never, not even a little bit, been load shed.

How strange that its right next to tembisa.

Funny how mainly white areas are being shed, electricity bill doesnt come down (in fact mine went up this month) . And we are still paying for areas like this to have fulltime power.

.... Wont say more. I will get sighted for bad karma or something.
 
I seriously dislike this 4 hour plan. I'd rather have two hours then a few hours to recover then another 2 hours.

Oh, and I'm planning a LAN at my house tomorrow. Cross your fingers for me...I'm not too keen on the idea of 10 people here and no juice for the PCs.:o
 
so instead of two hours a day we get four hours every second day. our ups can handle two hours. four hours they cant. thanks to the bright sparks who wanted four hour downtime.

I wonder who "wanted" this. No one asked me or anyone I know.
Another "survey" with magically derived results. Has anyone EVER been asked anything in regards to this power problem? If so, what?
 
People this is all simply going to get worse as time goes on, Eskom awarding contracts to BEE companies who are 100% corrupt and have no idea on service delivery worsens the situation. Eskom being unable to maintain its current infrastructure and letting systems deteriorate to such an extent, managment and directors are more concerned about their next bonus. We are a virtual first world country sliding towards being a third world country. Welcome to darkest Africa! If you want power 24/7 immigrate.
 
In Bryanston, I'm scheduled for 2 4 hour powercuts in the same day. That 8 hours of no electricity in one day!!!

Every management/ director as Eskom should be fired. They are killing this country and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them.

I watched a Cart Blanche story a while ago and this could have been avoided ages ago, but our goverment and eskom would rather put the money in their pockets than help grow the country.

It is a really sad sad time, I just hope it gets fixed before the country becomes a disaster and every skilled person leaves :(
 
Our power just went out for 30 mins in Jeppestown. :confused:

Do these moegoes have any idea what they are doing?
 
is kinda strange that certain areas don't get shedded.... maybe because the "residents" will toy toy and burn eskom to the ground?

Screw them, what about all the residents and what they think is all right?

Last night I was shedded for about 2 hours from 6pm, and it was freezing with this cold weather. In winter I'm pretty sure that I'll die of cold during a four hour black-out.

We should make it hell for eskom from here on out as much as possible. Apparently they hiked their exports recently even though we have problems, they should be giving us that power just because they suck and are a greedy bunch of fat corporate pigs.

Anyone want to join the AEA (Anti Eskom Alliance)?
 
Had a 3 hour loadshed today, from 15:00 to just after 18:00 :( You suck Eksdom!
