Do you have anything to trade?

I have a working P1 Board that will run great with a P-133mhz and if you disable the onboard Cache it will run like a 386.

You will need a ATX to AT adapter (ebay) the rest of the parts are reasonanly easy to source locally or from aliexpress.

PS if you like the old stuff come join me on www.vogons.org

I gave JanVN quite a lot of old stuff last year, there was a 166mmx in there as well (full working box that I used to play Dungeon keeper and carmageddon on).

Maybe send him a pm? Pretty sure he could help you out, maybe do a swap or something.

I have a 486 here but need it for reasons.

I have old Intel mobo i440BX chipset with Pentium 2 or 3 CPU 300/300MHz CPU, don't rememer. The best I can find now. Also have case/PSU, some IDE hard drive and RAM must be tested. Newer - high capacity sticks do not work on this chipset, you will be limited to 3x 64MB sticks (128MB if lucky). Minimum for XP. PM to let me know what you expect.

2x Dell PII complete PC (Windows 98 only because of 2 memory slots instead of three) available as well (if you insist). :)

Pentium mobo (maybe) :)

Just removed some dust from Dell PII. It is OptiPlex G1 350L+. 32MB RAM. Hard drive decided to hang on bad sectors, but I have spare 6-8GB. Dell has integrated ATI 3D graphics chip marked "Rage IIc AGP" (in BIOS is called Pro Turbo) for nice 2D acceleration (not really 3D), but no sound chip.

Now important question for chosing right sound card. Do you plan to run:

A. DOS games in Windows DOS box or
B. In pure DOS
C. Multi boot DOS/Windows

@A. For Windows 95/98 I would use Ensonic Audio PCI card. It has full Sound Blaster compatibility in DOS box. Original Sound Blaster is not.

@B. I can add Sound Blaster AWE32 ISA card (model CT4380) (need to test if working).

@C. For dual boot to Windows XP I can upgrade RAM to 128MB RAM to get minimum XP experience. Maximum is 256MB (two 128MB sticks). I don't remember how Ensonic card perform in DOS (DOS drivers?). The same for SB Live! (model CT780). Any feedback from forum members?

The last things. There is a option in BIOS:
CPU speed: 350MHz or Compatible
Is it an option to disable 2nd level of chache for old DOS games?

I noted "I'd prefer something complete..." in your reply, but if you have changed your mind, you can collect everything today: 2x complete Dells, Intel mobo in a case (can add ATX power supply), plus extra sound cards, couple PS/2 keyboards, one PS/2 mouse.

Or say 'yes' before I change my mind. :)

Added: In meantime preparing complete Win95/98se machine with Ensonic card and testing if working properly.

reason I say is I prefer complete is I don't want to scavenge for parts all over, hence prefer something more complete, but if you have a few, I'm sure I can make good use of the parts. pm is sent

Don't do it. Your memories will be destroyed forever!!!

If you really insist. just go google old dos games and play them thru dosbox on your new PC.
