Been over a month now with less than 2Mb download & 1.8Mb upload on Rain 4g 19 hour package,
However the RainGo sim has a 30Mb download & 20Mb upload. I think they want me off the package!
All I get is "the matter has been escalated"......

Have you tried different spots in the house? A neighbour got a Rain router in May and was initially disappointed. We spent an hour moving it about the house and placing it as high as possible

In the end, in one room near a window and on top of a tall bookcase the speed improved from 2mb to 80mb. That is with the R400/month package

He told me last week that it varies between 55mb and 130mb, but is quite satisfied

I ran a LAN cable through the roof to his PC in his office

I tried all over the house even on the roof, the thing is it used to work around a month an a half ago
25mb anyway in the house.

Now I wake up in the morning open the window & place router on the sill outside to get 4mb if Im lucky.
Also praying no monkey drops it cause they use our windows as a pathway to the next tree lol

It sounds like your contention ratio is too high. Tricky to fix as its Rain's problem

Find out where the transmitter is. A friend whose house is surrounded by tall trees had an indifferent signal, so I fitted an antenna for him. This improved the signal by 50% and made the service more reliable

It is a Poynting Dual polarized medium gain LTR antenna. About R1800 I think. Came with a 10m lead

I also recently have the same problem, and "help is on the way", as FAST as the internet speed. No follow thru or response. No human to talk to, only AI. The symbiosis is not mutual benefitting. Rain gets money and and I get week signal. I gues its another way of marketing oneself into obsolescence, the modern nature of doing the bussiness.

I switched over to Vodacom since January No Issues and they have a call centre with an actual human on the other end lmao
