4G/LTE Speed non-existent

My husband and I each have a Telkom unlimited contract. We get unlimited calls, sms's and data. Data is soft capped at 25G. That's what we signed up for. Our 2 year contracts expired in December. We continued with the contracts on a month to month basis with no phones. Last month we cancelled wifi at home. Suddenly we cannot even play music on Google Play Music which we both subscribe to. I am unable to receive or send email it is so slow!! This started halfway through February. Since the 1st when our cap should be renewed nothing has changed. I am at a wifi hotspot typing this as my mobile data is so slow, even after hours, even if I don't hot spot. I have called in to complain, I have had tech help me reset, my husband has gone to telkom themselves. I am SO frustrated. Should I ditch Telkom? Which package at which other network operators offers similar?

So this slow connection only happened recently.Is it only at your house or do you experience a slow connection everywhere ?

It started recently. In mid Feb. It's wherever I am. In any area. 2 different contracts. 2 different phones
