Hi all... not sure if anyone's posted anything but my ADSL connection is connected at 4mbit/s downstream and 384kbps upstream as of midday today - just got home!

Stream Type Actual Data Rate
Up Stream Duplex 384 (Kbps.)
Down Stream Duplex 4096 (Kbps.)

It's flyyyyyying ;)
 
I have a secure vpn adsl account into my work (ie. no cap etc)... it's definitely faster - will post details later this evening of the speed as soon as the corporate network traffic dies down.

me thinks its the placebo effect....:D
 
Is regular browsing speed very different from 1mbit to 4mbit? Not streaming and stuff... And not a million pictures on one page. Regular browsing.

Ordered my upgrade to 1meg today, ta dabouncer for convincing me!

i'm ordering tomorrow as well. wanted to today but bit late now :(

hope they upgrade it quickly!
 
I was upgraded from 384 to 1mb in 3 hours. :) That was the beginning of August BTW.
You will have NO regrets going 1mb. Even if this 4mb thing is a ballsup, 1mb is still boss.
