Awesome, mine should be happening soon. Where abouts do you stay?

Interesting... I wait eagerly to be upgraded... :) Maybe try reset ur router and see if u can get quicker than 1mb speeds and if ur sync rate stays at 4096.

ya - see this is what i was worried about...

since i stay about 3.7km from the exchange - this is turning out bad for me :(

same observation made - as from 7:30pm 2nite i got resynched to 2664 down on my original 1152.

but also with it - my SNR immediately took a drop from 21 to 8.1 - 7.9

its now 8:12pm - and i've experienced 17 synch losses - with the resynch trying 32kb more or less to find a stable setup - but no go.

aaai - i want the speed - but man - distance seems to own me :(
now i've got to phone them up and say oi - synch me back to 1024

to those who are gonna have full 4 mips - enjoy!

That sucks. Im not too far from the exchange so hope i wont have problems. Where do u stay? I stay in JHB - Fairlands and it seems this upgrade is happening all over today. Maybe we next. :)

I just checked my router :D

can i ask.surely if you have 4mbps lines its kinda pointless to have a 3 gig cap right? how many gigs do you guys hve?

Correct. Average users dont go for 1mb lines because of that very problem.

Pissed off with Vodacom

Anyone feels the same ? Even GPRS is f*cked up Telkom is better by far:eek:

Ok - so at least Telkom are taking a step forward.IF one day they do allow for bigger cap limits or uncapped accounts this will help alot :)
but for now its kinda lame ? 4mbps - thats fast.yes - its not 8 mbps or anything but its decent upgrade :)

Well its only a trial so there are NO guarantees its gonna last forever. I recon bringing out a 2mbps line would be good. Alot of users would go for it IMO.
