I am the proud owner of a 4 meg ADSL line, I have not gone uncapped because of the cost of having an unshaped, uncapped 4meg line is too high. A shaped uncapped line will also not suite my needs...
So what I'm thinking is that I keep my 4meg line (Cybersmart, 10gig +weekender+nightrider) and then get an uncapped 1meg account with one of the other
ISP's. Will they allow this ? and will they be able to limit it to 1meg, even though the line supports a higher speed ?
Basically what I want to do it start streaming all my TV. The 10 gigs of unshaped will cover most of my viewing hours (SD content), my gaming etc,and then the uncapped 1meg can be used for everything else, like normal web surfing + late night downloads.
Will any of the ISP's allow me to do this ? I have an ADSL modem that support bridge mode/ half bridge already so the setup will be very easy.
