4G is another one of those terms define by marketing people. No-one quite knows what 4G should be and there definitely is no clear road-map yet.

This year will see the speed of the 3G networks increase, first 3.6MB/s, then 7.2MB/s.

MY personal opinion is that when we have a single converged technology, we would have achieved the 4th generation.

Very true ! Like V3G has said before, we will reach convergence when you are are fcuked when you loose that vital device. It is getting close ! I am having a personal laugh at those people that chuckled back in 2000.
