50 Inch Plasma vs LCD

Another +1 to plasma, especially if you are looking @ a 50"

Just got myself the 50C450 and it is epic. I could stare at this screen for hours.

I also have a 40" LCD, and for SD content you can't compare, the plasma destroys it hands down. I game on my 50" every night, absolutely awesome.
 
Thanks for the advise. I love the Samsung Models, so based on the recommendation, will go for the PS50C430 or Samsung PS50C450 model units. I will do a cost quoation check in the week @ Game, Audio Vision, Hi Fi Cooperation, but + - what is a fair retail price on these Plasma units.
I reside in Cape Town, Stellenbosch area.

PS50C430 - R8,000 - R8,500
PS50C450 - R8,500 - R9,000

Strongly suggest the PS50C450. To recap, it has an anti-reflective coating, better menu system, USB media player, FM radio, extra HDMI port, and some other small features.

+1 on the 50C450, in fact Cats Digital currently have it on special for R8499, awesome price!

Funny or not that is the truth. General public believe LCD and LED are Uber alles. Dolby your posts regarding this topic have become very sour of late. I suggest taking a break and seeing if you can find your humour in things again. Reading these topics are definitely not doing you any good and reading a sarcastic response every second post is becoming a bit tedious as well. I think we all understand both your and PP's view regarding both technologies as you have both debated it to death. Do you then NOT think a plasma would suit the needs of the OP more than a LCD....?

EVERYWHERE :rolleyes: Go read some of your own posts and please tell me that you're not coming across as a sour puss. All I'm saying is relax a bit, you seem to have taken the role of LCD defender to a whole new level :D Goooosfraba........
 
Naaaah ... Sorry if it comes across like that ;) In all honestly I've never been pissed off when posting. Usually its FRUSTRATION ... But never angry or sour

In this particular thread I wasn't going to argue, fight or debate. As you say, most has been said.

However I did read the thread and chuckle with a few things ;) I don't need to point them out though because anyone with half a brain will think 'WTF?' ;)
