500 GB

Drink lots of coffee tonight and download movies and series. Check this website fmovies.to

Have you updated your computer/laptop softwares. I feel it's a waste to let that 450GB expire just like that.

I have 9GB left that expires on the 23/08/2017, I could have used it all up however I was leaving it for the odd download of new episodes of the series that I am following.

Still got 987GB left on the external that I need to fill lol

I've managed to use 240GB with 2 days remaining...
My speeds have gone down the drain lately.

I also have a 3G modem bit old bought it in 2013. The modem is bit slow compared to my Samsung galaxy j5. Most of the time I'm on 3G.

Tonight I plan to do some serious downloading movies and music and up date my laptop.

Yesterday I purchased a prepaid sim and added the 500GB NS bundle to it. I also added a 24hr 150mb bundle for speedtests.

I stuck this sim into a 3G Huawei E5331 mifi for testing as I wanted to see what sort of volume could be pulled through this device. Keep in mind my signal is excellent as there is a 1800mhz tower less than 250m from my house.

I loaded up torrents and set scheduling to kick them off at 12am.

This morning I see that 22GB was downloaded which is extremely good for a 3G device in my opinion. I also noticed that, even though scheduling only started the torrents at 12am, the remaining 111mb of the 24hr bundle was eaten up first - I can only imagine that it takes Telkom a couple of minutes after midnight to change billing into night surfer mode and this anytime bundle was eaten before that point - I will probably delay downloading start by 10 minutes in future to avoid this happening again.

While I do have an LTE router for my uncapped sim, I performed this test in the 3G mifi in case the day comes when Telkom starts refusing to add the 500GB bundle to uncapped sims (they are already apprehensive to do it the both times I have requested it) - in this case I will just torrent from a separate machine which is connected to the 3G mifi with prepaid 500GB nightsurfer as this prepaid bundle is easily DIY in comparison to my uncapped sim.

It could short term bundle taking precedence. In other scenario you would need to restart router five minutes after midnight. I noticed similar problem with other networks too, it happens at times. There is a Python script available for restarting B315s router and later. It can be launched by Windows scheduler. Should I repost on the forum?

As for the concept of using separate SIM and modem for night bundle, it is a hassle free solution, no disappointments.

Awesome deal this, I sleep at 2 am now. I'm one of those people who had download links saved up and was just waiting for such a deal. Have done over 300GB in 9 nights.

Does this deal end any time soon?
Somebody on this forum speculated that it's not likely to happen because the deal is under a specific tariff. But to counter that, I did read on their Ts and Cs that they reserve the right to remove it at ANY time.

Noted, thanks :)

Now to figure out if I can add this to my existing contracts?
