500 GB

I don't care even if I got 5mbps down and 2mbps up I'd still buy this in a heart beat

Yeaaaaah....... but that's like having a C63s AMG but being limited to using only 2 gears from 7. Where's the fun In That?

Yeah I think the Telkom LTE uncapped and capped especially prepaid has seen a massive uptake. I mean you can get an all in one LTE setup for less than R1000 and have the 500GB after hours data which in most cases would beat the 2-10Mbps adsl line.

Stable latency but also downloads included after hours. Days of pumping 50Mbps+ on Telkom LTE is over I reckon.
 
I had about 200kbs downloading a file after hours with this 500gb special. The same file was downloading at 1mbps average during the day on my other telkom sim. Not sure whats going on with this lately.
 
Anyone else struggling with the Telkom news server?

I am getting an err110 timeout.

Doing a quick test before the 500 gigs kicks in at 12.
 
How do we go about adding this R50/500Gb package to an existing Uncapped LTE package? I've hunted around the login portal but no option for 500Gb

There is only one way. Phone 081 180 and ask the consultant to add it. If they refuse, hang up. Call again and ask to add it. Repeat until one does it.

Repeat the above every 3 days. The official line is that the 500GB is not for LTE Uncapped.

I gave up and just run a second prepaid sim which I add the 500GB to.

Just gave them a call, they added it no problem. Call took 5 mins. :)
