Pity GT5 now has a release date of "when its done"

Sounds very familiar... they may as well rename it to GT5 Forever....

Still worth the wait. If you did not follow the stories. They are adding many extras, GPS, More damage, Possible 3D ...etc.

I've read all the stories IAP...

Whatever they're adding is actually irrelevant... they're delaying the release for a 3rd time now, and they're not even giving a ROUGH idea of when it will be released so chances are it won't be in the first half of 2010, and I'd be surprised if it makes it out in 2010 at all... which turns the game into at LEAST a 5 year development cycle... and Turn 10 have managed to put out 2 games, both of which are award winners and are awesome games, in roughly the same time frame.

Yeah whatever. GT5 will be HUGE in all aspects. It has to be perfect else the nitpickers will write it off for any stupid reason. I am willing to wait just a little more for all the extra functionality and stability. It just has to live up to all the expectations and hype.

How long is a little bit more in your books?

You've already been waiting nearly 4 years since it was "announced".

Don't get me wrong, I want GT5 to be awesome... but they've got to make it so incredibly awesome to be worth it that they're starting to make it impossible to live up to what people will want it to be.

I am hoping PD know what they are doing. There is a lot of expectations riding on this game and the more it is delayed, the more the fans will expect. Unless this is Sony's plan of marketing strategy. Do you realize the steady flow of games on the PS3.

Thats the biggest problem..

The pics look amazing yes, but PD are building up expectations to what is arguably an unreachable level.

Just keep in mind that at the same time they worked on and released GT for PSP. Sure its nothing compared to Forza, but I'm sure that took a chunk of time as well.

The rumour is that GT5 will be 3D and they're waiting for 3D consumer televisions to be on the market... so May or June 2010.

I'm sure GT for the PSP took a chunk of time...

But the longer they delay GT5 for the PS3 the further BEHIND the technology curve it is likely to fall.

why dont they just release a special 3D version later and just release a normal version now, so what if 5 people end up buying both versions and feel they got shafted?

As stated above, those pics are really good. I am really looking forward to the game, but I'm not gonna hold my breath any more...I might just die.

I don't understand how peolpe can say GT5 has been delayed numerous time's...when in fact it has only been delayed once !

Their has never been a release date except for japan in march...just the dumb media posting when they think it will be released....if it ain't a offical release date then ignore the media and mag's.
